Math WS

Hello, welcome back to my blog.
Today I am going to be showing you my scatter graph
If you don't now what one is, for example if its a hot day and someone is selling burgers.
People wont by them but if its ice cream they will be them because its a hot day.
Here are my scatter graphs.

As you can see for the ice cream the sales have kept on going up over the weather being nicer.
And the sport one is different because they sport in different weather.

Math WS

Hello,
Welcome back to my blog.
Today I will be showing you.
We have been working on shapes.
The task was a bunch shapes and we had to show the faces edges and vertices.
The first goal was
Identify and sort 2D and 3D shapes into classes. Define the properties of the shapes and justify the decisions made.
Second goal is,
Relate 3D models to 2D representations.
For the second questions they asked for as many open box's this is C3w

Math WS

Hello,
Welcome back to my blog,
Today I will be showing you the math for this week.
This week we worked on place value and reversibility.
For my create I made a video on biteable.
Its a video creating website.
Because its a payed site I screencastify the video and now I am going to show you.
What type of math do you like doing?

Stanford math course Term-3

Hello and welcome to my blog today I will be telling you about a Math Stanford university course that I did.The course was run by a Jo Boaler the course was all about your math math thinking.

Lesson 1

In the first lesson it was only just the start so I didn't know much about the course and what will be happening.

I learnt in the first lesson all about
That math is always looked so baldy and people normally give up so fast. And that Lego and board games are really good for your math thinking. And some stereotype thinking to.That girls toys are dolls and that boys toys are construction stuff which is good for math to.

The key message I got out the first lesson was there not such thing as a math person and that anyone can succeed in math.

Lesson 2
In the lesson 2 we learnt all about the mathematical mindset and some different behaviorin math.
Like someone was praised for being smart. Then the math teacher said "Wow you did really well, would you like another problem".They could choose an easy one or hard one.The person who was praised for being smart choose the easy one because they wanted to be looked at smart. But the person who got it wrong choose the hard one.

Lesson 3
In  lesson 3 we learnt about when you mistakes synapses grow in your brain.
Synapse grow in your brain every time you make a mistake.

Lesson 4
In lesson 4 we learnt number that talking about math with other people is so much better then working by yourself. When you talk about math you have access to a different level of understanding than when you just read the questions or work one them on your own.

Lesson 5
In lesson 5 we learnt about making sense of math and intuition.
Making sense Like why does this make sense? How does this work?.
Intuition is when you look at a math problem and say I have a general sense of this,I have a feeling about what works here. And we learned about Sebastian Thrun. He invented the self driving car and is the vice President of google. And he held the lead development of Google glass the glasses you can record by blinking. He is also the CEO of Udacity an online course. One of the best math thinkers.

Lesson 6 the final lesson
In the last lesson we learnt in math is all about finding a general idea. But another way is finding the pattern.Math is in so many different places like in a spider web with the patterns that the spider makes. And snowflakes they normally follow the pattern of a hexagon. And math in dance with the angles that they have to follow. And juggling and the patterns jugglers follow.

I really recommend that you try the course.
Hope you enjoyed.

Stair to squares

For the last couple of weeks we have been doing a problem solving called stair to squares.
Its been really hard but in the end I got there and now I like to show you the video of me presenting the problem solving.

Hope you enjoyed.         What type of math do you like?

My Goals for term 2

Hi today I will be telling you my goals for term 2

My goals

Math:I would like to able to see a hard math question and be able to answer.

Writing:To able to writing bigger and complex words because I would like to put more detail in my writing.

Reading:To able to read in more complex sentences and understand them because I seem to always get stuck bigger complex words.

What goals do you have for term 2?
